Fayez Lahoud

PhD student, Computer Science

I am currently a PhD student in the IVRL group of EPFL, headed by Professor Sabine Süsstrunk. I obtained my Masters degree in Computer Science at EPFL doing my thesis in this same lab.

I have previously worked at Sony Europe Ltd, where I researched the use of convolutional neural network for speech recognition. I have also worked as an intern at Vidinoti SA where I developed a javascript AR tracking library.

My research interests are in Computer Vision and Graphics, specifically to apply machine learning for image processing tasks.

I will be giving two presentations about super resolution in Computational Imaging XVII and virtual reality in The Engineering Reality of Virtual Reality 2019 at EI 2019 in California.

I will give a presentation about image re-coloring in the deep learning and color workshop at CIC 26 in Vancouver.

I won the challenge with IVRL members R. Zhou and S. Süsstrunk.
I will be giving a spotlight presentation at PIRM 2018 in Munich about our solution.
